Alysia Jenkins - 2015 President 

Alysia Jenkins is currently a K-5 physical education teacher at Trinity Elementary School in Williamson County Schools. She has taught elementary physical education since 2001. She also served as adjunct faculty at Middle Tennessee State University for two years supervising physical education student-teachers and teaching.

Alysia received both her bachelor's (1999) and master's (2002) degrees in physical education from Middle Tennessee State University. She has been an active member of TAHPERD since 1999, receiving the James E. Ward Student Award, representing Tennessee as a student delegate at national convention, serving as a section chair for Coordinated School Health and vice president for health and wellness, and presenting at conventions.

Alysia lives in Murfreesboro with her husband, Brad, and their two sons, Todd and Will. When not working, Alysia likes to spend time with her family, traveling, reading, and watching her sons play sports.
