The Department of Health and Human Performance offers a Ph.D. in Human Performance with specializations in five areas:

  • Exercise Science
  • Health
  • Kinesmetrics
  • Leisure Studies
  • Physical Education

  • The department also offers three Master of Science Degrees:

  • Health and Physical Education
  • Exercise Science
  • Leisure and Sport Management

  • Applications for Summer/Fall admission must be complete by March 1 and applications for Spring admission must be complete by October 1. Late applicants who meet the admission criteria may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    Graduate Assistantships Available:  Exercise and Sport Science, Health Promotion, Clinical Nutrition, Physical Education Teacher Education, and Sport Commerce.

    Appointment: Graduate assistantships are typically 9 months (with some options for summer employment) and include Fall and Spring tuition and a monthly stipend.
