Welcome to the Tennessee Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance website.  The TAHPERD website is designed to make it easier for you to join or renew membership, register for the convention, link to resources, seek grant opportunities, communicate with Board members, keep up with the changes occurring in Tennessee regarding health, physical education, recreation and dance, as well as many other valuable links to help you be more successful in your profession.

I would like to thank everyone who has agreed to serve on the TAHPERD Board and Committees this year.  Your support and guidance is invaluable to the success of the association.  TAHPERD is fortunate to have such dedicated professionals leading the way for our profession.

During 2008, TAHPERD embarked upon “A Sea of Possibilities.” The idea was to identify and embrace the opportunities afforded to us through TAHPERD. The theme for 2009 was, “Dive into TAHPERD for a Healthier Tennessee,” and was meant to expand upon the “Sea of Possibilities.” The 2010 theme is "A Time for Action."  Possibilities were identified, we dove in and now it is "A Time for Action" to continue to enhance our association.

If you are not a current TAHPERD member, I encourage you to join and connect with professionals from across the state.  Feel free to contact any TAHPERD Board member or me to find out more about how to become involved.
